Prayer for Strength

Father,

I come to You in the name of Jesus, and I thank You that You are my strength. I thank You that I do not have to rely on myself, and I am not limited to what I feel. You are constant, and You do not change. I bless You and give You glory.

Lord, I come into agreement with truth. Your Word says that Your strength is made perfect in weakness, so I will not resist the place where I need You. I will not try to carry what I was never meant to carry on my own. I receive Your strength now.

Your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, dividing what is not aligned, so let it do its work in me. Where I have grown tired, strengthen me. Where I have felt overwhelmed, steady me. Where I have wanted to withdraw, establish me.

Father, I lay down every place where I have relied on my own ability. Every place where I have tried to push through without You, I release it. I will not move from exhaustion. I will move from strength that comes from You.

Strengthen my mind. Let my thoughts be settled and not scattered. Let me not be easily shaken or moved by what I see or feel. Where pressure has come, let it not break me, but establish me.

Strengthen my heart. Where I have grown weary, renew me. Where I have felt discouraged, lift me. Where I have questioned if I can continue, remind me that You are the one sustaining me.

Strengthen my resolve. Let me stand firm in what You have called me to do. Let there be no retreat and no compromise. Where I have been inconsistent, make me steady. Where I have wavered, make me firm.

I thank You that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am not without help. I am not without support. You are with me, and You are sustaining me.

I come into agreement with heaven. I am strengthened. I am steady. I am established.

I will not give in to weariness. I will not be moved by pressure. I will stand in what You have spoken, and I will continue in it.

I receive strength now, and I walk in it.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
