Prayer for Discipline

Father,

I come to You in the name of Jesus, and I thank You that You are a God of order. I thank You that You do not call me into anything without also giving me the ability to remain in it. You are consistent, You are steady, and You establish what You have spoken. I bless You and give You glory.

Lord, I come into agreement with truth. I acknowledge that where there has been inconsistency, distraction, or lack of follow-through, it has not been because You were unclear, but because I have not remained disciplined in what You have already shown me. I will not ignore that, and I will not continue in it.

Your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, dividing what is not aligned, so let it do its work in me. Where I have been unfocused, correct me. Where I have lacked discipline, strengthen me. Where I have started and not finished, bring me into completion.

Father, I lay down every habit that works against what You are building in me. Every pattern of delay, distraction, and inconsistency, I release it. I will not hold onto what disrupts what You are establishing.

Set my mind in order. Let my thoughts be focused and not scattered. Let me not be easily pulled away from what matters. Where I have lacked structure, teach me how to remain. Where I have relied on how I feel, bring me into alignment with what is required.

Strengthen my discipline. Let me show up consistently in what You have called me to do. Let there be no dependence on motivation, but a steady commitment to what You have established.

I will not start and stop. I will not move only when it feels easy. I will remain. I will continue. I will follow through.

I come into agreement with heaven. My actions align with truth. My habits align with truth. My consistency aligns with truth.

I receive discipline. I receive focus. I receive the ability to remain.

And I walk in it.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
