HOW TO SPEAK LIFE OVER YOUR GRANDCHILDREN
Good morning. We have spoken life over our finances, our children, our daughters, and our sons. But today, I want us to speak life over our grandchildren.
Grandparents, never underestimate the spiritual influence God has given you. You may not live in the same home. You may not make their everyday decisions. You may see things happening in their lives that concern you, but you cannot control every environment, friendship, or influence surrounding them.
What you can do is pray, remain present, demonstrate the love of Christ, and consistently speak the Word of God over their lives.
Our grandchildren are growing up in a world filled with social-media pressure, bullying, confusion, anxiety, unhealthy influences, family instability, and constant attacks against their identity. They need grandparents who will not only talk about what is happening in the world—they need grandparents who will speak what God has said over them.
Put your grandchildren’s names before you and speak the Word:
My grandchildren are a crown, a blessing, and a gift from God. (Proverbs 17:6)
The mercy of the Lord is upon my grandchildren and upon the generations that follow them. (Psalm 103:17–18)
My grandchildren shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be their peace. (Isaiah 54:13)
My grandchildren will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and with people. (Luke 2:52)
God has not given my grandchildren a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
My grandchildren will trust in the Lord with all their hearts. They will acknowledge Him, and He will direct their paths. (Proverbs 3:5–6)
The Lord gives His angels charge over my grandchildren to keep them in all their ways. (Psalm 91:11)
The Lord shall preserve my grandchildren from evil. He shall preserve their souls and watch over their going out and their coming in. (Psalm 121:7–8)
My grandchildren will walk with the wise and become wise. (Proverbs 13:20)
My grandchildren will obey their parents in the Lord, honor their father and mother, and receive the promise attached to that honor. (Ephesians 6:1–3)
No weapon formed against my grandchildren shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)
The words God has placed in my mouth will not depart from the mouths of my children, my grandchildren, or the generations that follow them. (Isaiah 59:21)
Now declare:
My grandchildren will know God for themselves.
They will not be discipled by this world, controlled by social media, or pressured into becoming someone God never created them to be.
They will know who they are and whose they are.
They will have healthy friendships, wise mentors, and safe people surrounding them.
They will recognize manipulation, deception, bullying, and harmful influences.
They will not be drawn into addiction, violence, destructive relationships, or decisions that threaten their future.
Every generational pattern of rejection, abuse, poverty, addiction, fear, and brokenness stops here. It will not become their inheritance.
My grandchildren will be emotionally healthy, spiritually grounded, mentally sound, confident, compassionate, disciplined, and full of wisdom.
They will develop their gifts, fulfill their purpose, and become everything God created them to be.
The world will not have the final word over my grandchildren. God will.
Let us pray:
Father, I place my grandchildren into Your hands. Cover their minds, guard their hearts, protect their bodies, and direct their steps. Keep them safe at home, at school, online, in their friendships, and everywhere they go.
Surround them with wise and godly influences. Give their parents wisdom, patience, discernment, and strength. Help me to support their parents without overstepping, to speak truth without condemnation, and to be a godly example my grandchildren can follow.
Let my grandchildren know You personally, hear Your voice clearly, and walk in the purpose You established for their lives.

Keep praying. Keep believing. And keep speaking the Word over your grandchildren.
